Hezbollah Denies Links to Alleged Security Cell in Lebanon and Syria

Hezbollah has strongly refuted reports linking the party to a security cell allegedly detained for plotting against Lebanon and Syria, dismissing the claims as baseless and part of a disinformation campaign.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the media office of Hezbollah Lebanon has issued a strong denial regarding circulated reports by certain media outlets, which have a history of making unfounded accusations against the Lebanese resistance. These reports claimed a connection between Hezbollah and a security cell allegedly arrested on charges of plotting to disrupt security in Lebanon and Syria.

In a statement, the office emphasized that Hezbollah has no direct or indirect ties to any such cell or group. The party considers the accusations and claims made against it to be entirely baseless.

The statement concluded by asserting that the efforts by some media outlets to associate Hezbollah Lebanon with such security matters, citing anonymous sources, are solely intended to disseminate misinformation. This, it added, aims to tarnish Hezbollah’s reputation and represents a malicious attempt to incite discord and undermine the security stability of Lebanon.
