Iraq Halts Oil Port Operations After Missile Strikes on Tankers

Iraq has completely suspended operations at its oil ports following missile strikes that hit two of its oil tankers, though commercial ports remain active. The incident resulted in the rescue of 25 crew members.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraq has completely suspended operations at its oil ports due to existing conditions and projectile impacts on two of the country’s oil tankers. Farhan Al-Fartousi, the Director-General of the Iraqi Ports Company, announced the halt in activity. He clarified, however, that the nation’s commercial ports continue to operate. Al-Fartousi also reported that two oil tankers caught fire in Iraqi waters, and all 25 crew members from these vessels were rescued.
