Erdogan: Turkey Will Not Enter War with Iran Amid Regional Tensions

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Friday that Turkey will not engage in the ongoing conflict between Iran, Israel, and the United States, while emphasizing the nation’s readiness to counter all threats. His remarks follow the interception of a third ballistic missile directed towards Turkey.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Friday that Turkey will not be drawn into the current conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States. He simultaneously affirmed his country’s preparedness to address any potential threats.

Erdogan’s statements were made subsequent to the interception of a third ballistic missile that had been launched in the direction of Turkey. He elaborated that his nation is implementing all necessary precautionary measures to safeguard its airspace from any potential dangers, mirroring the events of the previous night.

Addressing attendees at an iftar dinner, Erdogan highlighted that Turkey’s paramount priority is to remain uninvolved in this escalating conflict. He underscored that the country is taking all steps to prevent any threat to its sovereignty.

Earlier, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran officially denied launching any missiles towards Turkey. Iran’s military affirmed that Tehran had not conducted any such attacks against its friendly and neighboring nation.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif had previously indicated that the Israeli regime might be involved in orchestrating such attacks. The stated objective behind such alleged actions would be to divert public attention and undermine the strong relations between Iran and its neighboring countries.
