Iran’s Strategic Power Shifts from Lebanon to Strait of Hormuz, Israel News Reports

An Israeli news outlet has reported a strategic shift in Iran’s power projection, moving its focus from the Lebanese front to the vital global chokepoint of the Strait of Hormuz, thereby impacting global energy markets and US foreign policy.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli news outlet Israel News has reported that Israel’s strategic focus on the Lebanese border and the Litani River is no longer sufficient for understanding security threats, as the primary axis of Iran‘s power projection has gradually shifted from the ground front in Lebanon to a vital global bottleneck: the Strait of Hormuz.

The Zionist media outlet added that while Israel concentrates on tactical depth in southern Lebanon and containing Hezbollah, Iran is pursuing a different, more strategic war at the level of the global economy and energy.

Israel News wrote that the Strait of Hormuz, which serves as a transit route for a large portion of the world’s oil, has become Iran’s tool for geopolitical pressure. Through this, Iran can increase global energy costs and influence American political decisions. This situation compels Washington to prioritize energy stability in its negotiations with Tehran and to some extent prevent the escalation of regional tensions, including Israeli actions in Lebanon.

The Zionist media described this situation as a “Hormuz-Litani Separation,” a rift between the Israeli regime’s military battlefield and Iran’s economic battlefield. It stated that the outcome is that Israel holds the upper hand on the tactical ground, but at the grand strategic level, it is influenced by equations determined in the Strait of Hormuz and the global oil market.
