Eight Arab and Islamic Nations Condemn Israeli Raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque

Eight Arab and Islamic countries have issued a joint statement condemning the ongoing incursions by Israeli settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the raising of the Israeli flag within its sacred precincts. The statement declared these provocative actions a clear violation of international law.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, eight Arab and Islamic nations have issued a joint statement condemning the persistent raids by Israeli settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the hoisting of the Israeli flag within the courtyards of this holy site. The statement, citing reports from Arabic sources via the Mehr News Agency, characterized these provocative and unacceptable actions as a flagrant violation of international law.

The signatory nations also denounced the continuous aggressions and the organized, illegal actions by the occupation regime’s authorities in occupied Jerusalem. The statement emphatically rejected any attempts to alter the historical and legal status of the city of Jerusalem.

Furthermore, the statement held the occupation regime responsible for halting these escalatory measures in occupied Jerusalem, warning that the repeated transgressions by the Israeli regime undermine the efforts towards achieving peace. The eight Arab and Islamic countries reaffirmed their steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian people in their pursuit of legitimate rights and concluded by emphasizing support for all initiatives aimed at ending the Israeli occupation and realizing peace.

In recent years, the Israeli regime has intensified its efforts to Judaize East Jerusalem, including the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and erase the Arab and Islamic identity of the city. This occurs despite international resolutions affirming that East Jerusalem should be the capital of an independent Palestinian state, and that the occupation of the city in 1967 and its annexation in 1980 by the Israeli regime have not been recognized.
