Israeli Military Commander and Three Soldiers Killed in Southern Lebanon

Four Israeli soldiers, including a battalion commander, were killed overnight in southern Lebanon following a suspected strike on a military tank. Investigations are underway to determine the nature of the object that targeted the vehicle.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli media have confirmed the deaths of four soldiers, including a battalion commander, in Lebanon the previous night. The Israeli military announced the death of Lieutenant Colonel Dor Gedalia Ben Simhon, 32, in southern Lebanon.

Reports indicate that a suspected aerial attack targeted an Israeli occupation forces tank in southern Lebanon, resulting in the casualties. Lieutenant Colonel Dor Gedalia Ben Simhon was killed along with three other soldiers whose identities have not yet been released.

Al Jazeera also reported that Israeli media, citing military sources, stated a serious security incident occurred near Kfar Tibnit in southern Lebanon. A senior officer from the Israeli army’s 36th Division was also injured during engagements in southern Lebanon the previous night.

Israeli officials stated that they experienced difficult and complex clashes with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon overnight. The Adam settlement council, northeast of Jerusalem, also reported the death of one of its residents, an Israeli military settler, in southern Lebanon.

Investigations are ongoing to identify the suspicious object that targeted the Israeli tank, determining whether it was a drone or a guided missile. Israeli media, quoting military sources, reported that a suspicious object targeted a tank belonging to the 52nd Battalion of the Givati Brigade.
