US CENTCOM Commander Meets With Officials From 11 Regional Nations to Discuss Security Cooperation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, CENTCOM, the United States’ Central Command, announced that its commander, General Brad Cooper, convened a meeting with military officials from Jordan, Egypt, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. The meeting focused on regional developments and strengthening military cooperation among the participating parties.

Attendees emphasized their commitment to ensuring the free flow of maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. General Cooper stated, “We continue to support our regional partners. All of us are committed to achieving regional security and stability.” He made these remarks without referencing U.S. military interventions in the region.

Ignoring the United States’ challenges in defending its bases against Iranian missile and drone attacks, Cooper asserted, “The United States and its regional partners operate the most extensive and largest missile and air defense systems in the world within the region.” He further noted that in January, CENTCOM and regional nations established a new coordination network for air defense in the region, facilitating information exchange and early warnings.
