Millions Expected at Funeral Procession for Iran’s Martyr Leader in Iraq

Millions of people are anticipated to participate in the funeral procession for Iran’s martyr leader in Iraq, with ceremonies scheduled in Najaf and Karbala.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency and cited by the Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi Information Office, Saad Maan, spokesperson for the High Committee for the Funeral Procession of the Martyr Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran in Iraq, emphasized that Iraq will receive the body of the revered martyr on the upcoming Tuesday. A public funeral ceremony will be held on Wednesday at 6 a.m. local time in the province of Najaf Al-Ashraf.

He further elaborated that the procession route in Najaf Al-Ashraf will proceed from Al-Kufa Bridge towards the 20th Revolution Bridge, passing through Al-Sadrin Square. Predictions indicate a massive turnout for this event.

Maan stated that the ceremony will continue in the province of Karbala Al-Mo’alla at 4 p.m. local time. The route will commence from Martyr Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis Street, moving towards the Sayyid Joudah intersection, Al-Mohafaza Street, and Al-Mahkama, culminating at the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and Hazrat Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
