Trump Repeats Baseless Claims Against Iran on Nuclear Issues

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by the Mehr News Agency, quoting Al Jazeera, Donald Trump, in a comprehensive interview with CNN, made a series of controversial statements regarding U.S. policies toward Iran.
Trump rejected the idea that confronting Iran is a conventional war, claiming: “Confronting Iran is not a war in itself, but a process for nuclear disarmament.”
In a segment of the interview, Donald Trump strongly criticized the policies of previous U.S. administrations, asserting that the weakness of former presidents has led Iran to exhibit bullying behavior in the Middle East and towards the United States over the past 47 years.
He also referred to the Obama administration era, alleging that Iran was provided with $1.7 billion in liquid assets, which facilitated the development of the country’s weapons and missiles.
A notable aspect of Trump’s remarks was his altered tone towards Iran’s current political structure. Stating, “I am not seeking regime change in Iran,” he claimed: “The current leaders of Iran are more rational, and we have an agreement with them.”
He further made baseless claims that Iran has agreed to almost all of America’s demands.
These statements come as analysts interpret Trump’s change in tone as an attempt to redefine political equations in the region and create a new space for negotiations.
