Former UK Defense Minister: Iran Stronger After Conflict, Trump Failed

Former British Defense Secretary Tobias Ellwood stated that the United States, under Donald Trump, lacked a strategy in its confrontation with Iran, resulting in Tehran emerging significantly more powerful. Ellwood asserted that Trump did not achieve victory in the conflict, as Iran’s military capabilities, including its missiles and drones, remain operational and it maintains control over the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, former British Defense Secretary Tobias Ellwood declared on Monday that Donald Trump, the President of the United States, had no discernible strategy in the conflict with Iran. Ellwood argued that Iran has become considerably more powerful compared to its standing before the American aggressive actions.

The former British Defense Secretary further elaborated, “Unfortunately, I must say that Trump did not emerge victorious in the war against Iran. Tehran remains steadfast, its long-range missiles are still operational, and the Shahed drones and other armaments are similarly active. And as we know, and as you know better than I, this government maintains complete control over the Strait of Hormuz.”

Tobias Ellwood subsequently added, “The outcome of this situation has effectively emboldened Tehran. We are now also witnessing the increasing influence of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps within Iran.”
