Israeli Finance Minister Vows to Block Palestinian State Formation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated that the Israeli regime will prevent the formation of a Palestinian state in the heart of the occupied territories by expanding settlements in the West Bank. Data published by the Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, reported Smotrich’s remarks.
He added that the settlement of Sh Avner and over 160 settlement outposts will serve as a protective wall for all occupied lands. One of the sinister objectives of the Israeli regime behind settlement expansion is to fragment the West Bank and sever communication routes to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Yesterday, Hamas described an agreement between the extremist cabinet of the Israeli regime and the so-called Council of Settlements in Northern West Bank to build 12,000 new settlement units and allocate eight billion shekels (approximately $2.66 billion) for settlement infrastructure development as a criminal and dangerous accord aimed at Judaizing Palestinian lands.
In a statement, Hamas declared that this agreement constitutes an intensification of the occupier regime’s unchecked war and is part of its efforts to dominate the West Bank, annex Palestinian lands, and displace the region’s inhabitants.
