US Central Command Claims 11th Night of Strikes Against Iran
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, US Central Command (CENTCOM) has reported the conclusion of its eleventh consecutive night of operations against Iran. The command claims these strikes targeted Iran’s military operations centers, naval capabilities, aircraft hangars, drone storage facilities, and logistical infrastructure. The stated objective is to further degrade Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
CENTCOM’s statement asserts that Iran has attacked over 30 commercial vessels transiting this vital international waterway for regional and global trade in the past three months. The command further alleged, without providing substantiation, that these “unprovoked attacks have endangered the lives of hundreds of civilian mariners and undermined freedom of navigation.”
CENTCOM also claimed that the Strait of Hormuz remains open for commercial vessel traffic. The command stated that since early May, its forces have facilitated the passage of approximately 900 commercial ships and the transit of about 450 million barrels of crude oil through the waterway.
