Yemen’s Top Negotiator Accuses Saudi Arabia of Israeli-like Aggression and Miscalculation

Mohammed Abdulsalam, head of Sanaa’s negotiating delegation, has strongly criticized Saudi Arabia’s actions in Yemen, likening its behavior to Israel’s and stating that Riyadh has made a critical miscalculation in its approach.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Mohammed Abdulsalam, head of the negotiating delegation from Sanaa, emphasized that the aggression against Sanaa Airport serves as a reminder to those who have forgotten that Saudi Arabia is insisting on keeping the airport closed. Riyadh claims its objective is to protect Yemen‘s sovereignty through official statements.

Abdulsalam further remarked on the striking similarities between Saudi Arabia’s conduct across various domains, including its falsehoods, malice, and aggression, and that of Israel. He asserted that hiding behind unjust United Nations statements, which are issued based on oil relations with Saudi Arabia, cannot conceal the reality of the oppressive blockade on Yemen. He identified Saudi Arabia as the party behind this cruel siege, a trespassing nation that initiated an eight-year war against Yemen, ultimately failing, and now seeks to recoup its losses.

Abdulsalam clarified that Saudi Arabia’s current focus should be on the fact that it has transformed itself into Yemen’s overt enemy through a miscalculation. He warned that Saudi Arabia’s persistence in stubbornness and refusal to accept the truth will have serious consequences for the country, its security, and its economy. He added that the maritime blockade is the first step in a battle of blockade against blockade, and the Yemeni people will reclaim their rights.
