Deadly Bus Collision on Deir ez-Zor to Damascus Highway Claims 35 Lives
A catastrophic collision between two passenger buses on the Deir ez-Zor to Damascus highway in Syria has resulted in 35 fatalities and 30 injuries, according to health ministry officials. The devastating incident also sparked a widespread fire.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, data released by the Mehr News Agency, citing the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), indicates that a crash involving two passenger buses on the Deir ez-Zor to Damascus road has led to a significant number of casualties.
Najeeb Al-Nassan, Director of Emergency and Ambulance Services at the Syrian Ministry of Health, reported that as of now, 35 people have been killed and 30 others injured in the collision between the two buses on the aforementioned road.
The Syrian Ministry of Interior expressed its condolences following the occurrence of this tragic incident. Images released from the scene show that a large fire erupted as a result of the crash.
