Putin and Tokayev Affirm Strategic Russia-Kazakhstan Ties, Discuss Ukraine

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of an interregional cooperation forum in the city of Omsk. Russian President Putin stated that the relationship between Russia and Kazakhstan is strategic and developing.

Kazakh President Tokayev, in his meeting with President Putin, suggested that a return to the Istanbul agreement formula could be utilized for resolving the conflict in Ukraine. Tokayev further emphasized Kazakhstan’s commitment to strategic cooperation and allied relations with Russia.
