Putin Affirms Russia’s Commitment to Ukraine Operation Goals Amid Western Sanctions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin has affirmed that Russia will achieve its objectives in the military operation in Ukraine. Speaking to representatives of the State Duma, Putin characterized the past five years as exceptionally challenging and pivotal for Russia’s history.

He highlighted the Russian populace’s support for the military operation in Ukraine, asserting that they are committed to achieving victory and underscored the nation’s cohesion in the face of external pressures. Putin commended the Duma members for their swift and effective decisions, deeming them essential for Russia. He also noted the unity among various political factions within the Duma.

The Russian President elaborated on the emergence of a new world order amid intense conflict and competition. Putin reiterated Russia’s resolve to meet its goals in the Ukraine operation, stating that all strategic decisions are founded on the genuine interests of its citizens. He contended that the West aims to undermine Russia’s economy and scientific capabilities, but asserted that the Russian people are resilient and will not be subdued. Putin emphasized that Russian authorities, in collaboration with Russian society, are prepared to decisively repel any hostile actions against the nation, acknowledging the loyalty and steadfastness demonstrated by Duma members towards their homeland.

Putin further commented on the unprecedented scale and ineffectiveness of Western sanctions imposed on Russia, suggesting that Russia’s adversaries are resorting to terrorist tactics due to failures on the battlefield. He also indicated that Western sanctions against Russia are adversely impacting the countries implementing them.
