UAE Seeks De-escalation with Iran, Reports Financial Times

The United Arab Emirates has tasked three of its royal family members with reducing tensions with Iran, according to a report by the Financial Times citing informed sources.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Financial Times, citing informed sources, has reported that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the President of the United Arab Emirates, has assigned three of his brothers the mission of de-escalating tensions with Iran.
The report indicates that as the conflict in the region has reached a stalemate, neither full-scale war nor peace, the prevailing stance in the UAE is one of flexibility. This development comes after Iran’s armed forces targeted positions within the UAE in retaliation for the UAE’s participation in aggression against Iran and its overt cooperation with the United States.
