Hamas Delegation Travels to Egypt for Ceasefire Talks

A Hamas delegation is heading to Cairo to resume negotiations with mediators on implementing the second phase of a ceasefire agreement with Israel. The talks aim to solidify the truce and ensure all agreed-upon commitments are fulfilled.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamas announced in a statement that a delegation will depart today for Cairo to restart discussions concerning the implementation of the second phase of a ceasefire with Israel. The statement indicated that the delegation is scheduled to meet with mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, as well as Palestinian factions, with the objective of “solidifying the ceasefire and guaranteeing the implementation of all agreed-upon commitments.” The “ceasefire” was intended to halt the genocidal war initiated by the Zionist regime in October 2023. However, the regime has repeatedly violated this agreement, and negotiations held since then have had no prospect of progressing to the second phase.
