Saudi Aramco Halts Jizan Refinery Operations After Yemeni Attack
Saudi Aramco has shut down its Jizan refinery, with a capacity of 400,000 barrels per day, following recent attacks by Yemeni armed forces. The refinery sustained damage to its integrated gasification combined cycle complex and storage area.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi Aramco has suspended operations at its Jizan refinery, a facility capable of processing 400,000 barrels of crude oil daily. This decision comes in response to recent attacks carried out by the Yemeni armed forces.
Reuters reported that the Saudi state oil company, Aramco, confirmed the closure of the Jizan oil refinery on July 27, following an attack that took place on Saturday. The refinery’s daily processing capacity stands at 400,000 barrels.
According to Western media reports, the assault on the Jizan refinery, operated by Saudi Aramco, resulted in damage to the facility’s integrated gasification combined cycle complex and its reservoir zone.
