Massive Shopping Center Collapses in Japan Following 7.1 Magnitude Earthquake, Injuries Reported

A major shopping center in Kashima City, Kyushu Island, Japan, collapsed and experienced an explosion following a 7.1 magnitude earthquake, trapping numerous individuals and causing significant casualties.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a devastating 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck Japan today, causing severe damage and an explosion at a large shopping center in Kashima City on Kyushu Island. Japanese media outlets reported that a significant number of people are trapped under the rubble and several have been injured.

Images circulating from the scene depict extensive damage to the shopping center, with its roof caved in. More than 200 people were evacuated and moved to the parking area. Japanese media have confirmed that there have been fatalities and injuries resulting from the explosion at the shopping center in the aftermath of the earthquake.
