Iraqi Islamic Resistance Vows Retaliation for U.S.-Saudi Attack on Hashed al-Shaabi
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance has issued a strong condemnation of a U.S.-Saudi attack on positions belonging to Iraq’s Hashed al-Shaabi, as reported by Al-Ete’lam Al-Harbi via the Mehr News Agency. The statement emphasized that the American forces committed a new crime by targeting Hashed al-Shaabi forces and a service convoy for pilgrims heading to the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in the holy city of Karbala, resulting in numerous casualties.
The Iraqi Islamic Resistance asserted that the Saudi regime has been and will remain nothing more than a treacherous dagger or a dirty tool manipulated by the White House and its dubious intelligence agencies. The statement indicated that just as Saudi Arabia previously utilized its resources to deploy suicide bombers for shedding Iraqi blood, it is now compelled to renew its pact of subservience to execute the heinous crimes and directives of its masters, with the aim of weakening the resolve of the proud Iraqi people.
The statement further questioned the justification for the attack, even hypothetically accepting claims that oil facility attacks originated from Iraq. It asked whether it is conceivable that an (unsuccessful) attempt to target an oil field would result in the death and injury of dozens of innocent civilians. The resistance also posed a rhetorical question regarding the Iraqi government’s decisive stance in such a critical juncture, especially if it has claimed responsibility for national defense, and whether it can demonstrate its capability to deter aggressors and avenge the pure blood of martyrs, as the mujahideen have repeatedly done in Iraq.
Consequently, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance declared the following:
First: A deadline of 23 of Safar is granted to government officials who have called for the disarmament of the resistance, to observe their actions.
Second: Out of concern for the safety of Imam Hussein’s pilgrims and esteemed service providers, and to prevent any disruption to the blessed Arbaeen ceremonies before their conclusion, the response to the American enemy is inevitable. Perpetrators in Saudi Arabia may also be targeted if deemed necessary.
The Iraqi Islamic Resistance concluded its statement by praying for divine mercy and satisfaction for the martyrs of this aggression and wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded.
