Jordan Intercepts Missiles Targeting U.S. Base; Reports Vary on Impact

Jordanian air defenses intercepted five missiles early today, with the Jordanian army claiming they were fired from Iran and destroyed without damage. However, separate reports indicate at least two missiles struck the U.S. ‘Muwaffaq Salti’ air base, causing explosions and smoke.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, local sources have reported that Jordan has once again been targeted by missile attacks. The Jordanian army confirmed that five missiles struck the country at dawn, alleging they were launched from Iran and were intercepted and destroyed without any casualties or damage.

In contrast, the Telegram channel Naya released footage suggesting that two missiles directly hit the U.S. military base ‘Muwaffaq Salti’ in Jordan. The channel reported thick smoke rising from the base and stated that U.S. defense systems were unsuccessful in intercepting the projectiles. Multiple explosions were heard at the Muwaffaq Salti base, accompanied by continuous air raid sirens.
