Palestinian Islamic Jihad Denies Accuracy of Sharm El Sheikh Agreement Reports
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement stated that the news circulating in media outlets regarding the Sharm El Sheikh agreement is not precise. The movement further indicated that it has reservations about the current version of the agreement being disseminated.
Al Mayadeen news network has released articles detailing clauses of the Sharm El Sheikh agreement pertaining to the resistance’s weaponry. Earlier, several news outlets reported obtaining a version of the Sharm El Sheikh accord in Egypt, which suggests an agreement among Palestinian factions on the issue of resistance arms.
U.S. President Donald Trump had previously claimed that an agreement had been reached for the complete disarmament of Hamas and other Palestinian groups in Gaza. Trump described this alleged agreement as a “great achievement” towards achieving lasting peace and security.
