Israeli Lawmaker Advocates Full Gaza Occupation, Encourages Settlement

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by the Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, Tzvika Skop, a member of the Israeli Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, made controversial remarks stating that a withdrawal from Gaza is an illusion. He asserted that the only solution is the full occupation of Gaza, encouraging voluntary migration, and establishing Israeli settlements in the Gaza Strip.

Skop added that he sees no indication of Hamas handing over its weapons, suggesting that they might only stage a show of force by surrendering a few weapons. The Israeli lawmaker further commented that while Trump is their best friend in the White House, Israel’s responsibility is to protect its own interests. He indicated that work will proceed on settlements in Gaza, similar to what has occurred in the West Bank.
