Yemeni Protesters Demand End to Siege, Support Armed Forces
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency and Al Masirah, the people of Yemen once again rallied in the main squares and streets of Sana’a, the capital, and other provinces across the country. They expressed their solidarity with Yemen’s armed forces and the axis of resistance.
A statement issued during the massive demonstration, themed ‘Siege for Siege and Escalation for Escalation,’ declared that the people are granting full authority to Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, to make appropriate decisions for lifting the siege on Yemen, ending the oppression of its people, and reclaiming the nation’s wealth and sovereignty.
The statement further added, “We support the operations of the armed forces in implementing the equation of ‘Siege for Siege and Escalation for Escalation.’ We welcome the Saudi maritime blockade until the end of the unjust siege of Yemen and emphasize our readiness to pay any price in this just battle. We welcome military operations against ships violating the Saudi enemy’s shipping sanctions.”
The Yemeni people also affirmed, “We condemn the aggression by the United States and Saudi Arabia against the Iraqi people, its security institutions, and its dear fighters.”
They went on to state, “We call upon all peoples of the region to take action against the dangerous schemes of the Zionist regime targeting the sanctities of these nations.”
In another section of their statement, the Yemeni demonstrators declared, “On the anniversary of the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, we reaffirm our firm stance on the Palestinian issue, our support for Gaza, and all fronts of the axis of resistance. We are committed to the equation of unity among the fields of Islam and Jihad, and we reject the principle of targeting and isolating any single front. Any cost we bear is insignificant compared to what the enemy seeks by altering the Middle East and establishing its criminal project under the name ‘Greater Israel.'”
