Lebanese President Assesses Israeli Aggression as Dangerous Escalation Threatening Truce Deal

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has adopted a passive stance regarding the significant explosions in southern Lebanon following the Israeli regime’s aggressions. He stated that these explosions represent a dangerous escalation of tensions and directly threaten the process of implementing the framework agreement with Tel Aviv.
Aoun added that the timing of these aggressions, on the eve of the Rome summit, sends negative messages.
Yesterday, Israeli officials issued a statement admitting to the use of 700 tons of explosives in the explosions in southern Lebanon. This is occurring while the Western-aligned government in Beirut, instead of confronting these dangerous Israeli transgressions, is seeking the disarmament of the resistance.
