US Warns Americans Abroad Amid Rising Tensions with Iran

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. Department of State announced on Saturday that Americans in the Middle East, also known as West Asia, should exercise greater caution and be prepared for airspace closures and potential travel disruptions. The advisory further stated that U.S. citizens in the region should consider departing or preparing to depart if tensions escalate. Americans outside the Middle East (West Asia) are advised to reconsider travel to the area. The statement added that Iran and its affiliated groups may target U.S. interests worldwide. Earlier, the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad had also alerted American citizens to heightened tensions in the Middle East (West Asia), advising them to be extremely cautious, increase their vigilance, and prepare for possible flight cancellations, temporary airspace closures, and travel disorder.
