Ansarullah Member: Renouncing Arrogance is a Religious Duty, Enemies Cannot Break Our Will
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Haidar Al-Hamza, a member of Yemen‘s Ansarullah movement, emphasized that renouncing arrogance is a religious duty and that enemy forces cannot break the will of the Yemeni people during a conference on Islamic resistance and renunciation of enemies. The event, organized by the cultural and educational committee of the Arbaeen Headquarters, was held in Karbala on August 2, 2024.
Citing Verse 139 of Surah Al-Imran, which states, “So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are believers,” Al-Hamza described this verse as a cornerstone of the Karbala school of thought. This school, he explained, knows no defeat and has never bowed to oppressors, asserting that true victory lies in steadfastness on truth, not merely in battlefield dominance.
Highlighting the importance of jihad in prophetic traditions, Al-Hamza declared that the banner of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) is a global one, signifying that the Husseinian school of thought continues to nurture men. He argued that a movement gathering millions around the values of justice in Karbala can never be defeated.
Addressing the conditions of the Yemeni people, Al-Hamza noted that they have resisted a global coalition for over 10 years. This coalition, he stated, revealed its enmity by attacking Yemen from air, sea, and land. Despite global silence, he credited divine grace and reliance on God for the Yemeni people’s creation of unparalleled epics and their defeat of Israeli, American, and their allies’ forces. He further specified that over 200 ships linked to Israel and the United States have been targeted.
Al-Hamza concluded by saying that they draw lessons from the martyrs who proved their nation’s love for martyrdom, asserting that their enemies possess nothing capable of breaking their will. He affirmed their commitment to either living with honor or accepting martyrdom.
