Zionist Settlers Continue Desecration of Christian Holy Sites in Jerusalem

Palestinian officials have reported a continued pattern of desecration against Christian holy sites and individuals in Jerusalem by Zionist settlers, with dozens of incidents recorded in 2026 alone.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Palestinian official sources announced on Sunday that a group of Zionist settlers gathered outside the Armenian Church in the Old City of Jerusalem, engaging in offensive and aggressive behavior towards the entrance of the holy site by throwing stones.

The Governorate of Jerusalem published images of this racist act, emphasizing that these incursions have become part of a consistent approach by extremists targeting Christian sites.

Statistics from the Supreme Committee of the Palestinian Presidency for Church Affairs indicate that since the beginning of 2026, at least 45 instances of aggression by Zionist soldiers and settlers against Christian citizens and their holy sites have been documented.

In a related incident, the Governorate of Jerusalem also reported a violent attack by a group of Zionist settlers on a Palestinian bus driver in the city, which resulted in severe injuries and his transfer to medical centers.

These types of incidents reflect the ongoing oppressive policies and inhumane behavior of the occupation forces against Palestinians in various regions.

Since October 2023, coinciding with the escalation of Zionist crimes in Gaza, the rate of aggression by soldiers and settlers in the West Bank and Jerusalem has significantly increased. Palestinian data shows this has led to the martyrdom and injury of thousands, as well as the arrest of a large number of innocent people.
