Saudi Crown Prince Warns Trump Against Escalating Tensions with Iran, Citing Global Economic Impact

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Associated Press has reported, citing its sources, that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in a telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump, warned against resuming extensive military operations against Iran. He stated that such an action would damage the global economy.

The Saudi Crown Prince also indicated that Kuwait could be more vulnerable to attacks on U.S. bases within the country. He further noted that further escalation of tensions could cause serious damage to the global economy without necessarily achieving the intended objectives.

A source told the Associated Press that the phone call was candid and constructive. The news agency announced that this conversation was one of the factors influencing Trump’s decision to resume ceasefire negotiations with Iran.

Trump had previously claimed that the United States and Iran would hold negotiations regarding a peace agreement on August 3rd (Monday).
