Two Explosions Reported Near Palmyra Military Airport in Syria

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, local sources in Syria‘s Homs province announced that two explosions of unknown origin were heard early Monday morning in the area between Palmyra Airport and the Palmyra Military Prison in the eastern part of Homs Governorate, citing Al-Mayadeen, which cited Russian sources.

These sources stated that ambiguity surrounding the incident persists, and the Syrian government has not yet issued any official explanation regarding the cause or nature of these explosions.

Local sources also reported that prior to the explosions, a bright red light was observed at a relatively high altitude, followed by two successive blasts that shook the area. For this reason, some residents, considering the sound and location of the incident, speculated that the explosions might have been caused by a drone attack.

However, these speculations have not yet been confirmed, and Syrian security agencies have not issued any official statements regarding the cause or nature of the incident to date.

According to local sources, no significant movement of emergency vehicles or internal security forces towards the explosion site was observed, which has further added to the ambiguity and questions surrounding what has occurred.
