Lebanon-Israel Negotiations Commence in Rome

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a new round of negotiations between Lebanon and the Israeli regime has commenced in Rome. This development was reported by Al Jazeera, citing data published by the Mehr News Agency.
Earlier, CNN, quoting a U.S. Department of State official, had indicated that the talks between Lebanon and the Israeli regime would take place in Rome, the capital of Italy, from August 4th to August 6th.
The American official had not provided details regarding the composition of the negotiating delegations or other specifics of the event.
However, public groups and resistance movements in Lebanon view negotiations between Beirut and Tel Aviv, particularly in light of repeated ceasefire violations by the Zionists, as emboldening them further. They have called on the Western-aligned Lebanese cabinet to halt negotiations with the occupiers.
