Netanyahu Rejects U.S. Draft Proposal for Gaza, Cites Security Concerns
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Monday that a draft proposal from the United States regarding Gaza was rejected, reiterating the government’s commitment to its security interests and demanding the complete disarmament of Hamas before any withdrawal from the Gaza Strip’s borders.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that a draft proposal presented by the United States concerning the Gaza Strip has been rejected. He asserted that Israel remains resolute in pursuing its security interests and will not retreat from borderlines in the Gaza Strip until Hamas is fully disarmed.
Netanyahu further indicated that President Trump and his team believe in the feasibility of disarming Hamas and demilitarizing the Gaza Strip, a notion currently under review. He revealed that while the Americans sent a draft proposal, it was not approved by Israel, and the Israeli government has submitted its own feedback.
