Iraqi Resistance Postpones Retaliation Against US and Saudi Arabia
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq has declared that it has postponed its planned retaliation against the United States and Saudi Arabia. The group cited the call of “great mujahid, Hajj Abu Hassan Al-Ameri,” and the “honorable stances of some noble political leaders” as reasons for delaying the planned response, which was initially scheduled for the 23rd of Safar al-Khair.
In its statement, the resistance emphasized that the “pure blood of martyrs has never been and will never be a commodity or a transaction in the market of power struggles and political calculations.” It urged those whose pursuit of position has “blinded their intellect to preserving lives and trampled sovereignty” to reconsider their actions and return to the right path.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq stated that the “American enemy and its allies in the region must know that the blood of our martyrs and wounded is the fuel for our steadfastness.” The group asserted that sovereignty is not regained through “passive and conservative statements but will be reclaimed by the firm fists of loyalists who do not compromise on the sanctity of their land and the dignity of martyrs.”
Earlier, Hadi Al-Ameri, head of the Badr Organization and the Fatah parliamentary coalition in Iraq, had called for the postponement of military responses from resistance groups to the recent Saudi-American aggression targeting the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) headquarters. These attacks resulted in over 50 martyrs or wounded.
Hadi Al-Ameri, in a video message addressed to the members and forces of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, urged them to “postpone any reaction against the aggression of America and Saudi Arabia that targeted Iraq.” He asked them to “bear the wounds for the supreme interest of Iraq.” Al-Ameri promised all combatants that the rights of martyrs and the injured would be pursued through diplomatic channels, expressing confidence that “all these goals will be achieved, God willing.” He concluded by thanking the “heroic brothers.”
