US Joint Chiefs Chairman Urges Exit Strategy from Iran Conflict

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, CNN reported that General Dan Kine, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, has explicitly told a number of senior Trump administration officials that the United States needs to find a way to exit the war with Iran. Kine has warned that proposed military options for escalating the conflict could backfire. The Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff also stated, “It is unlikely that air power alone can achieve the stated objectives of Donald Trump, the President of the United States.” CNN added that Kine has shared his concerns about escalating the conflict with other senior administration officials, including John Ratcliffe, Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Marco Rubio, Secretary of State, and J.D. Vance, Vice President of the United States, and has raised the possibility of finding an exit from the war.
