Iraq Vows to Prevent Use of Its Territory for Hostile Actions Against Other Nations

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi affirmed that Baghdad will not permit its territory to be utilized for hostile operations against any country, emphasizing strong cooperation with Saudi Arabia to bolster regional security and stability.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi and head of Saudi intelligence Khaled Al-Humaidan have underscored the necessity of enhancing security cooperation and information exchange between their nations. The aim of this collaboration is to prevent the escalation of regional tensions.

During their meeting, the Saudi side extended an invitation to the Iraqi Prime Minister for an official visit to Riyadh.

Al-Zaidi reiterated the Iraqi government’s keenness to strengthen ties with Riyadh in a manner that serves the interests of both countries and contributes to regional security and stability. He further asserted Baghdad’s steadfast commitment to preserving Iraq’s sovereignty, stating unequivocally that the nation’s soil will not be permitted as a launching pad for aggressive actions targeting other states.

This high-level meeting takes place amid recent developments where the United States and Saudi Arabia conducted strikes targeting positions of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) within Iraq.
