Azerbaijan Stands With Iran Amid Regional Developments, Aliyev States

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has declared that Baku stands alongside the Iranian nation, following recent statements made by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. In a message posted on the social media platform X, President Aliyev expressed gratitude for the “kind and sincere words” spoken about Azerbaijan by President Pezeshkian. He highlighted that the peoples of Azerbaijan and Iran have consistently supported each other during difficult times.
President Aliyev further stated that in light of recent events in their region, Azerbaijan has once again demonstrated its support for its “brotherly people of Iran.” Earlier, during a press conference, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran had referenced the cooperation of neighboring countries during wartime. He noted that Pakistan is currently cooperating wholeheartedly, Afghanistan has shown excellent collaboration, Turkmenistan has provided appropriate assistance, and Russia and Iraq have also been helpful. Regarding the Republic of Azerbaijan, President Pezeshkian mentioned that despite some political issues, dialogue and interaction have continued.
