Saudi Arabia Delays Jazan Refinery Startup to Early September
Saudi Aramco has postponed the initial startup of its Jazan oil refinery, with a capacity of 400,000 barrels per day, by approximately two weeks, now targeting August 30th. The delay follows an industrial fire at one of the refinery’s facilities.

This decision was made based on data published by Mehr News Agency, citing a warning from the industry monitoring institute IIR, which was observed by Reuters.
Saudi Aramco has rescheduled the trial launch of the Jazan oil refinery to August 30th, which falls on Sunday, September 8th. According to The Economic Times, Saudi Arabia‘s Ministry of Energy announced earlier this week that industrial firefighting teams from Aramco had successfully extinguished a fire that broke out in the morning at one of the refinery’s facilities.
