US Vows Unprecedented Pressure Campaign Against Iran, Targeting Financial Assets

Senior U.S. officials have declared an unprecedented pressure campaign against Iran will continue, with the Treasury Department specifically targeting financial accounts and digital currencies linked to the nation.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a U.S. official stated that unprecedented pressure against Iran will continue. The U.S. Secretary of Energy, making baseless accusations against Iran, described Tehran’s strategy as failed and claimed that the continuation of the current situation could lead to the collapse of the Iranian government. He also claimed that Washington is aware of the exact number of ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz daily.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury announced that the country intends to take unprecedented actions against Iran. Referring to the global energy crisis, he stated that the campaign against Iran has caused a temporary increase in energy prices and that these prices are expected to decrease. The U.S. Secretary of the Treasury also announced the continuation of the so-called “maximum pressure” campaign against Iran, stating that these actions will target bank accounts and digital currencies linked to Iran worldwide.

He claimed that the U.S. maximum pressure campaign has caused the collapse of Iran’s banking sector. The U.S. Secretary of the Treasury said that the actions against Iran will be a combination of economic isolation and a blockade in the Strait of Hormuz.
