South Korean President Urges North Korea to Pursue Peace and End Decades-Long War

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, South Korean President has extended an invitation to North Korea for face-to-face negotiations, urging an end to the state of war that has persisted for seven decades. The president emphasized the need to set aside threatening intentions and commence dialogue to resolve the protracted conflict.

During his address, the South Korean President suggested that these negotiations could include exploring effective strategies to curb North Korea’s progress in its nuclear capabilities. He further proposed the establishment of a multi-level security framework designed to manage crises and preempt the emergence of new ones.

This initiative comes amidst heightened tensions, as North Korea previously condemned the upcoming large-scale military exercises between the United States and South Korea. Pyongyang characterized these drills as provocative actions that would inevitably escalate tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
