Yemen Launches New Missile and Drone Attacks on Al-Mukha
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Al Jazeera reported that elements affiliated with the self-proclaimed Yemeni government, backed by Saudi Arabia, announced that Houthi forces launched new operations targeting the port of Al-Mukha with several missiles and drones.
Yesterday, the director of the port of Al-Mukha in Yemen announced that the port had suspended its commercial and maritime operations after being hit by more than 25 missiles in recent Houthi attacks. He stated in a press conference that these attacks resulted in seven deaths and approximately $16 million in damages.
Al-Mukha is a port on the Red Sea, located near the Bab el-Mandeb strait. This strategic chokepoint connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden and serves as a crucial route for international shipping.
Yemen’s Houthi movement announced that it had targeted a weapons depot and warships belonging to Saudi-backed elements in Al-Mukha. Earlier, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, stated that Saudi army positions were targeted by drone and missile attacks. According to reports, Yemeni forces targeted gatherings of Saudi soldiers and warcraft belonging to their mercenaries and allies in the Al-Mukha region with a large number of ballistic missiles.
