Russia Strikes Ukrainian Infrastructure, Claims Advances in Donetsk and Kharkiv

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on July 20, 2026, that its forces have conducted strikes on Ukrainian fuel, energy, and transportation infrastructure, while also claiming the liberation of two settlements in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that tactical aircraft, assault drones, missile forces, and artillery of the Russian Federation targeted critical infrastructure utilized by Kyiv in Ukraine. These strikes specifically aimed at fuel, energy, and transportation facilities essential for Ukrainian forces. The Russian military also claimed to have attacked facilities involved in the assembly and storage of long-range drones and unmanned boats, as well as temporary deployment sites for Ukrainian troops and foreign mercenaries across 159 locations.

The Ministry of Defense further stated that Russian forces secured the settlements of Kudyevka in the Kharkiv region and Pershomarevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic within the past 24 hours. According to the ministry’s statement, the Russian Northern Battlegroup completed a decisive offensive to liberate Kudyevka in the Kharkiv region. Concurrently, the Russian Southern Battlegroup reportedly advanced actively to liberate Pershomarevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

In terms of personnel losses, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Ukrainian forces lost approximately 1,390 soldiers during the same 24-hour period within the special military operation zone.
