An explosion has occurred at a Finnish processing plant situated just kilometers from the Russian border, prompting a production halt as authorities investigate the cause.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, an explosion has been reported at a Finnish processing factory located a few kilometers from the Russian border, as stated by the Finnish news agency Yle and cited by Tasnim News Agency.
Toni Jakko, the factory’s fire chief, indicated that a technical malfunction might be the cause of the blast. The facility is situated in close proximity to the Russian border.
The incident reportedly took place around 2 AM local time within an outdoor liquid storage tank. The exact cause of the explosion remains undetermined.
The company has announced that production at the factory has been suspended to assess damages and carry out necessary repairs.
