US Early Warning Aircraft Declares Emergency Near Strait of Hormuz

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a United States Air Force Boeing E-3B Sentry early warning aircraft activated emergency code 7700 in proximity to the Strait of Hormuz, as indicated by data released by Mehr News Agency.
The activation of code 7700 signals a general emergency situation, according to RIA Novosti.
The aircraft descended from an altitude exceeding 6,700 meters to 5,400 meters and altered its course westward, heading into the Arabian Peninsula.
Concurrently, three US Air Force Boeing KC-46A Pegasus refueling aircraft, which had departed from Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, were present in the vicinity.
The aircraft involved in the emergency declaration is 46 years old. The specific reason for the emergency situation remains undetermined.
