Russia Warns of Escalating Regional Tensions Amid Ukraine Talks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov announced in an exclusive interview with NEWS.ru that Moscow remains open to dialogue with the United States regarding Ukraine. He clarified that this readiness does not imply any retreat from Russia’s core positions.
Ryabkov further indicated that Russia is prepared to consider any reasonable proposals for resolving the Ukraine issue that align with the realities on the ground. He noted that the United States has generally expressed its willingness for constructive dialogue concerning Ukraine and to understand Russia’s stance. Ryabkov also confirmed that Russia and the United States continue their systematic and active cooperation through their administrative bodies and special services.
Addressing the United States’ role in regional tensions, Sergey Ryabkov commented that even if negotiations between Iran and Oman concerning maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz prove successful, the threat of further escalation in the region remains a significant concern.
