Trump: No Rush for Iran Negotiations, Cites ‘Great Victory’ Ahead

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump told Al Jazeera that both economic and military actions are effective and he is in no rush to negotiate with Iran. In response to a question from an Al Jazeera reporter about Iran, Trump said, “I have no timeline; I’m in no hurry.” Trump’s claim comes as he has resorted to various options to bring Iran to the negotiating table to end a long and undesirable conflict and to keep the Strait of Hormuz open. The U.S. President also claimed, “Our financial power is immense, and these matters will lead to a great victory against Iran. We achieved victory in Venezuela, and we will achieve a great victory in Iran very soon. The confrontation between the United States and Iran is not bound by any timeline and will continue for as long as necessary.” Trump, whose country has not been spared the consequences of the Strait of Hormuz closure and rising fuel prices, and is still facing increasing domestic and foreign criticism due to an unnecessary war, claimed, “We are on the verge of achieving a great victory. The Iranians are suffering from massive inflation, and their economy is collapsing.” The U.S. President also once again claimed the complete destruction of Iran’s navy, stating, “Last night, we destroyed 20 Iranian boats.”.
