Xi Jinping Proposes New Security Framework for West Asia, Denounces Foreign Interference

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday presented a four-point proposal for establishing a new security structure in West Asia, focusing on a vision of shared, inclusive, and sustainable cooperative security. Addressing the region, Xi reiterated Beijing’s support for friendly relations and good neighborliness among regional nations.

The Chinese president underscored the importance of strengthening internal drivers within the region to achieve common security. He stated that the people of West Asia must take control of their own affairs, and that foreign interference should be rejected. China, he added, supports regional countries in enhancing dialogue on peace and security, exploring new security structures, and charting their own destinies.

Xi Jinping emphasized that achieving common security in the region necessitates an inclusive approach. Given the numerous interconnected crisis hotspots in West Asia, he asserted that comprehensive and holistic solutions are required. The Palestinian issue, he highlighted, remains central to West Asian affairs and should never be overlooked or marginalized.

Furthermore, the Chinese president stressed that development should serve as the foundation for common security, asserting that lasting peace and stability in West Asia are fundamentally dependent on development.
