US Navy Grapples With Severe Logistical Crisis in Middle East

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. Navy is experiencing a severe logistical crisis in the Middle East, as reported by the Lebanese Al-Manar television channel, citing the American newspaper The New York Times. Approximately 20 vessels carrying nearly 20,000 naval and marine personnel require over 420,000 meals and about eight million gallons of fuel weekly.

The situation reportedly worsened significantly after Iran destroyed the U.S. Navy’s primary logistical base in Bahrain. This action has placed surrounding ports under severe threat, leading to their cessation of use. Consequently, aid ships are now compelled to travel approximately 2,200 miles to reach Diego Garcia Island, or even longer distances to Singapore, before returning to their fleet.
