Yemen’s Ansarullah Leader Marks 21 September Revolution Anniversary

Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen‘s Ansarullah movement, delivered a speech on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the 21 September Revolution in Yemen. He expressed gratitude for the victory and support for the Yemeni people in their “blessed 21 September Revolution,” describing the achievement of freedom, independence, and steering away from a “wrong path” under foreign tutelage as a great blessing and a significant day.

Al-Houthi extended congratulations to the Yemeni people, particularly the revolutionaries, for their “unrelenting efforts.” He also paid tribute to the martyrs, their families, and the wounded, in addition to congratulating official institutions and all those who marked the auspicious occasion.

He emphasized that prior to the 21 September Revolution, the Yemeni people were in dire need of it, stating that the events preceding the revolution constituted a “confiscation of the freedom and independence” of the Yemeni people and their “surrender to foreign tutelage.” Al-Houthi further elaborated that foreign tutelage leads to the confiscation of freedom and independence, resulting in significant losses.
