Flydubai Flight Lands in Saudi Arabia After In-Flight Incident, Hijacking Fears Surface

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, in a statement released by Flydubai, flight FZ1073 originating from Dubai and heading to Tel Aviv encountered difficulties during its journey but successfully landed at the airport in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. The airline did not initially disclose the specifics of the issue that necessitated the diversion.

However, Israeli media, quoting one of the 150 Israeli passengers on board, reported a harrowing experience: “We heard screams and saw blood. The pilot had been stabbed. For a few moments, we thought we would never be saved.” This account suggests a violent confrontation occurred within the aircraft cabin.

Further reports have emerged detailing speculation about a possible suicide attempt by one of the pilots, who allegedly initiated a rapid descent of the aircraft from 30,000 feet to 15,000 feet at near-supersonic speeds. The co-pilot is credited with intervening and preventing the catastrophic maneuver.

Sources within Israeli media outlets have indicated that Tel Aviv authorities are investigating the possibility that one of the pilots may have attempted to hijack the aircraft for political reasons. This follows initial reports from the office of Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, which had previously dismissed any notion of a hijacking attempt.
